Cinnamon has been used for thousands of years to aid digestive problems. Recent research shows that cinnamon may also help the body maintain a more even balance of its energy stores between meals.
Few companies produce all of their herbal products in extract form, but at LAMBERTS we believe it is essential to do so. So while the “whole herb” alternative sounds great, it is simply the dried plant material that will provide mostly fiber and few active ingredients (and this is if it can be digested). LAMBERTS herbs are concentrated, soluble and are a guarantee of safety and efficacy.
When using herbs and spices in LAMBERTS formulas, we always make sure to use the correct spices and important plant parts. This is the reason why we have selected the bark, and not the oil, since it is this that has documented the main actions of the plant. We have also used the same levels of cinnamon extract used in relevant scientific studies, which, unfortunately, is not the case today with all cinnamon-based products on the market.
The characteristic flavor and aroma of cinnamon comes from a compound in the essential oil of the bark and it is the various terpenes found in the volatile oil that are believed to have the health benefits.
We use a pure, high strength extract of cinnamon bark, not to be confused with culinary cinnamon. Our tablets are coated to make them taste-free (although they do have a pleasant cinnamon smell) and easy to swallow.
