Ricinus communis. Obtained by the first cold pressing of castor beans. Its Anglo-Saxon name, castor oil, often creates confusion: this oil does not come from the secretions of castor glands! In fact, it replaces precisely that ingredient formerly used in perfumery, hence its name.
Dosage:
• For hair: Massage the oil into your hair two to three times a week; cover your hair with a warm towel and let it sit for half an hour to an hour. Then wash your hair with shampoo. • For nails: Every night before going to bed, apply a drop to each nail; then massage the nail, paying particular attention to the cuticle.
Tips:
• Nail and hair care: This oil, with a naturally thick texture, protects and nourishes dry and damaged hair. It also strengthens brittle and fragile nails.
Precautions:
• Keep out of reach of small children. • Keep away from all sources of heat and light. • External use only. • Do not ingest.
