Seduce, but also like each other and, above all, please yourself. Make your life a joyful and lively symphony. That is the philosophy of this full and spontaneous hedonist. To create the perfume of this free and independent woman, Jean-Paul Guerlain was inspired by a challenge: Marie Antoinette's challenge to the Count of Artois to build the Bagatelle castle in less than 64 days. Its gardens, described as "madness", have become a symbol of romanticism. From this paradise island emerges a sparkling and luminous bouquet of neroli, roses and white flowers with enveloping notes of tuberose. An incredibly seductive "trifle" brimming with joie de vivre.
Jardins de Bagatelle is a sparkling perfume, a luminous and airy essence. The heart is a real bouquet of white flowers (neroli, jasmine and gardenia) that celebrates the joy of life. Its base presents a poisonous tuberose flower and woody notes.
A legendary bottle
Designed by Raymond Guerlain in 1912, its legendary "inverted heart" bottle is enhanced with elegant scrolls inspired by art nouveau. Its avant-garde cap in the shape of a hollowed heart evokes the delicate romanticism of this monument to perfumery, a true technical feat.
Guerlain is a French perfume house, among the oldest in the world. It has a large customer following, and has traditionally been held in high esteem in the perfume industry. Perfumes by Guerlain are often said to be characterized by a common olfactory accord known as the "Guerlinade". A perfume by the same name was launched by Guerlain in 1921.
